A Strange Surprise

Yesterday evening I opened the dryer to pull out some comfy pj's in preparation to cozy up for the evening. Imagine my surprise as I stared at clothes covered in a rainbow of colors. Yellow, teal, orange and red. What?!?!?

Then I spotted it.

An empty crayon wrapper. And another, and another...

Some little boy's pockets had been full of crayons. And his mama apparently forgot to check said pockets before washing clothes yesterday.

So, I don't suppose there is a way to get melted crayon out of clothing? Some of the clothes are obviously hopeless. There are a couple things, like my work-out pants that have only a few splotches on them though...

I am accustomed to finding rocks, screws, nails, acorns, leaves and various other small objects in the dryer. This is a first for crayons though, and hopefully the last time :)

OH, NOOOO!!! I don't know how to get crayon out, but I'll hope you'll post if you figure it out! Maybe... put a piece of paper over it and iron over it to make art??

I will definitely post it if I figure anything out. Hmmm, I may have to try with the iron. If I do I'll let you know how it turns out.

You could get a LOT of traffic to your blog if you post on this one bet! ;-)

Google it.

That's how I learned how to remove blood from a white carpet (and I use that tip still!)

Good luck friend! I hope I never experience that one for myself:-)

Crayons - Ugh! My boys are out the of crayon stage thankfully. Too bad they are into leaving flash drives, ipods, cell phones and MP3 players in their pockets. There is a hard rule in my home that says. If you leave it in your pocket - Mom is not responsible for covering the ruined electronics - You are. Maybe we should just ban pockets.
Hope you find a way to get the crayon out.

fawndear, I can relate to that one a bit too. My hubby washed his work clothes with his phone in a pocket not too long ago! :'( Thankfully we were due for new phones anyway...
