Belated Beach Pics

April 18th was our eleventh wedding anniversary, Yay for us! :-) We spent the day at the coast with our kiddos, it was a blast...

I restrained myself and didn't post 100 pictures. Here we are at crescent beach in the early afternoon. It got warm enough the boys began to brave the waves. Which were ice cold.

There was lots of running and lots of smiling :-)

I love the anticipation in the body language...

Joshie decided big brother was the perfect steadying force against the waves :-)

Introducing The Boys Favorite New Pastime!

PVC pipe, foam pool noodles, and duct tape. The rest I think is self-explanatory. :)

Ack.

I've been so bad about blogging lately. I really want to get back on top of it. I do like it. I guess I've been discouraged about life in general lately and haven't had the 'gumption' to do anything 'extra'. I plan on posting some pics of the boys fun new hobby tomorrow. They've been really enjoying Papa's company lately. It's fun to watch Brannon hanging on him, smiling up at him.

I finished my apron for the up-cycled apron swap. It turned out really cute. I'll post pics of that too. Someday.

Love ya all, see ya soon...

Before and After

You wouldn't know from the second pic that Brannon cried the rest of the evening because he regretted cutting his hair. He was so sad mama felt like crying with him :(
He said, after a while, "I'm thinking it took two summers and two winters to get my hair that long." Yep, two years, honey. I'm sorry I didn't go by my first instinct and ask him to wait over-night before having me cut it. Little brother wanted his off and B suddenly decided he wanted in on the action.
I hope he feels much better tomorrow. I hope the lack of tangles, the ease of washing, and no hair in the eyes gets the better of his tears. That boy has the thickest hair. It took cup after cup of water and lots of massaging to get it mostly wet, lol. Sweet boy. I love you...

A Morning At The Park

My blogging lately, besides being rare, has been rather out of order...oh well. Anyway, here we are at the park on Saturday...

My little climbers
Our gorgeous river
Our state flower
Running in the sun
There are tiny, daisy-like flowers around here that have bits of pink on the petals. These were mostly pink though, and darker than any I've seen.
The maples are in full bloom...lotsa pollen...we don't seem to react to this one thankfully. Aren't they beautiful :)
I LOVE the sound of water. I "dry up" (lol) if I don't hang out around some running water at least once in a while. It's one of those things I'd rather not live without ;-)
Feeling the force of the current
Hurrah for lots of bridges!
We counted thirteen turtles (not in the picture)
For some reason Joshua has always thought this statue was of our family. Since he was tiny.

We finally made it to the playground ;-)

The aftereffects of way too much spinning---sick tummies...
Remember that big kid I mentioned the other day?
LOL He wanted me to push him. I declined.
My sweet boys...

More Chickie Pics--And Some Pretty Cute Boys Too

This is what I found when I woke up one morning... :-)
We told Joshua that the chicks prefer to stand on one hand with the other hand supporting it rather than being squeezed between two hands...
Don't worry, the chick isn't distressed, it's actually sleeping. Though I do have to rescue them from time to time.

Too cute!

It was so warm yesterday we took the chicks outside for a little while. They loved stretching their wings and pecking at everything.
We can always dash into our box if we get scared or tired...
